Notice how the Bible opens. It does not try to prove God or argue about His existence. It simply says, "In the beginning God." Before there was time, space, light, or life, God was already there. He is the starting point of everything.
And the very first thing we learn about Him is that He creates. The heavens and the earth, everything we can see and everything we cannot, came into being because God spoke. He needed no raw materials and no help. He simply willed it, and it was so.
For you and me, this changes how we see our whole life. If God made all things, then nothing in your life is outside His reach. The same God who set the stars in place knows your name, your worries, and your quiet longings. You are not an accident. You were made by a purposeful, powerful, personal God.
And this Creator has a face. The New Testament tells us the world was made through Jesus and for Him (Jn 1:3; Col 1:16). The One who spoke galaxies into being is the same One who stepped into our world to save us. Rest today in that truth: the God who began everything is holding your life in His hands.
1. Does your daily life reflect that God is truly at the centre, or only at the edges?
2. What worry could you hand over to the God who made everything?
Father, You were there before all things, and You made all things. Help me trust that the God who created the universe also cares for me. Amen.
